FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

The Orthodontic Associates team answers dozens of questions throughout the week so we’ve compiled some of our frequently asked questions for your convenience. Don’t see what you’re looking for here? Give us a call.

Straight teeth and a properly aligned oral bite not only give you a beautiful smile, but also improve the health and function of your teeth and whole body. When teeth are not straight, it can be difficult to maintain good oral health, which can lead to bacteria, cavities and other diseases.

Invisalign treatment utilizes invisible, removable and comfortable aligners that work to straighten your teeth and align your bite. To create the aligners, we take a digital scan of your teeth using the iTero scanner that allows us to create a series of aligners that are matched to your smile. Check out the How It Works page for more information.

The cost of braces and Invisalign treatment varies from patient to patient depending on the length of treatment, level of difficulty and more. We invite you to schedule your free consultation where you can discuss treatment cost and insurance coverage with one of our treatment coordinators.

Orthodontics is a branch of dentistry specializing in the diagnosis, prevention and treatment of dental and facial irregularities to improve oral and whole-body health. Dentists focus on the cleanliness and restoration of your teeth. For more information, visit mylifemysmile.org.

If you notice one of the follow issues with your teeth, schedule your first free visit with one of our Orthodontists to evaluate your orthodontic needs:

  • Crowding
  • Spaces between teeth
  • Crooked teeth
  • Under bite or overbite

If you are unsure or something seems off with your teeth, please see your local dentist.

Although we love working with your dentist, you are welcome to call our office directly to schedule an appointment. No referrals are required.

The American Association of Orthodontists suggests that a child begin to be monitored by an orthodontist at age seven. Although treatment may not begin at that age, we ask to see the child at least every six months to ensure the teeth and jaw are growing and developing correctly.

Invisalign treatment is determined based on overall difficulty level and age.
It is never too late for orthodontic care. Whether you are a child, teenager or adult, we want to help give you a beautiful, healthy smile.
