GET TO KNOW DR. AMY
Do you remember what it was like to treat your first patient?
BA: Even though I felt well prepared by the efforts of the faculty of the dental school, I remember being humbled by the trust my first patient placed in me. As treatment progressed and the patient was excited to see their new smile as it developed, I felt honored to play a part in that excitement.
What personal goals do you have for you or your family? Activities you share?
Honesty and focus. Life can get so busy, but we always schedule time for meals throughout the week to ensure we keep up with each other’s lives. On the weekends, we try and get outside for some fresh air and activities together.
Favorite guilty-pleasure meal?
Fries, hamburgers and a great Philly cheesesteak! I love a meal from Signature Grill and Philly from Hobby’s Hoagies – they make the best cheesesteaks in the state.
Favorite Oklahoma season?
A cool fall Saturday morning during college football season.
What do you keep stashed in your briefcase?
I always carry a brass ring from a carousel in Pennsylvania. The ring symbolizes reaching for goals or living life to the fullest.
