In support of our team members, orthodontic patients, and our patient’s moms, Orthodontic Associates is a sponsor of the OKC walk for Perinatal Mental Health, Climb Out of Darkness. Alongside Oklahoma Children’s Hospital, One Health, The Oklahoma Family Network and others in the community, we are helping raise awareness and funds for the Postpartum Support International. Postpartum Support International aims to increase awareness, research, education and more toward postpartum depression, anxiety, and other postpartum mental health issues that women experience.
“When the mental health of the mother is compromised, it affects the entire family,” according to postpartum.net.
We invite you to join the walk on Saturday, June 25 to meet mental health professionals and families who choose to walk together symbolizing their “walk out of the darkness.” Join other survivors as they share stories of hope, celebrate recovery, discover resources and find ways to advocate for Perinatal Mood Disorders.
