DR. BRIAN AMY
Dr. Brian Amy earned his Doctorate in Dental Surgery from the University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry in 1992. Following six years in Midwest City, Oklahoma, as a restorative dentist, he went on to earn his Masters in Oral Biology and certificate of orthodontics in 2000 from Temple University in Philadelphia.
Dr. Amy serves as an international speaker and faculty member for Align Technology, Inc. – the global provider of Invisalign treatment. Each year, Dr. Amy speaks to hundreds of orthodontists from around the world to educate, mentor and advocate for Invisalign treatment options made available for pre-teens, teens and adults His work and advocacy for the advancement of Invisalign treatment has resulted in multiple journal publications

To exchange knowledge and best practices locally, Dr. Brian Amy also meets often with a study group comprised of various Orthodontists in different dental fields to discuss treatment planning of difficult cases in Oklahoma.
Dr. Amy, his wife Staci and their children, Connor and Jake are active parishioners in St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Guthrie.

Do you remember what it was like to treat your first patient?
BA: Even though I felt well prepared by the efforts of the faculty of the dental school, I remember being humbled by the trust my first patient placed in me. As treatment progressed and the patient was excited to see their new smile as it developed, I felt honored to play a part in that excitement.
What personal goals do you have for you or your family? Activities you share?
Honesty and focus. Life can get so busy, but we always schedule time for meals throughout the week to ensure we keep up with each other’s lives. On the weekends, we try and get outside for some fresh air and activities together.
Favorite guilty-pleasure meal?
Fries, hamburgers and a great Philly cheesesteak! I love a meal from Signature Grill and Philly from Hobby’s Hoagies – they make the best cheesesteaks in the state.
Favorite Oklahoma season?
A cool fall Saturday morning during college football season.
What do you keep stashed in your briefcase?
I always carry a brass ring from a carousel in Pennsylvania. The ring symbolizes reaching for goals or living life to the fullest.

DR. JOHN ARCHER
While in school, Orthodontist Dr. John Archer chose to pursue orthodontics because of the opportunity to build long-term relationships with patients, parents and dentists in the community. He enjoys working with local dentists on difficult, yet rewarding, patient cases like cleft palates and other craniofacial malformations to give patients a healthy smile and change their lives.
He is a member of a local dental study club, which is comprised of various Orthodontists in different dental fields to discuss treatment planning and difficult cases.
Dr. John Archer received his undergraduate degree in biology at the University of Baylor, and then returned to his home state to attend dental school at the University of Oklahoma. After earning his certificate of orthodontics at the University of Tennessee in Memphis in 1996, he joined Orthodontic Associates.
Dr. John Archer is married to his high school sweetheart Sheila, and they have four daughters, Lauren, Grace, Caroline, Ella and one son, Will. His family is very involved in activities with Crossing Community Church in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

JA: I enjoy social media. I like keeping up with friends who I see frequently as well as friends from the past and friends that live in other cities. I have several Twitter lists that provide good content on topics that interest me.
If you had it to do all over again, would you still become an orthodontist?
Becoming an Orthodontist was one of the best decisions in my life. I am blessed to have a career that I love and I get to work in a practice that continues to grow and evolve. For me, this career fits me perfectly. I can’t imagine doing anything else.
Harry Potter or Hunger Games?
Neither. Star Wars all the way.
What do you keep stashed in your top desk drawer?
Packets of Ketchup, Mustard, Salsa, Splenda, Salt and Pepper – these can make or break a good lunch.
Best advice for kids entering high school?
Take a rigorous class schedule. It is the best preparation for college. Once you decide on your career choice, and you’re working on getting into college or higher learning, don’t take no or a rejection letter as the final answer. Keep working and pursuing your dreams. Get up and try again.

DR. JUSTIN POWER
Raised in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, Dr. Justin Power earned his Doctorate of Dental Surgery and Master of Science in orthodontics at the University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry. He currently serves as a clinical associate professor for the OU College of Dentistry, sharing his knowledge and experiences about orthodontics and Invisalign treatment with dental students and orthodontic graduate students. Dr. Power is also the attending orthodontic faculty for the John W. Keys Cleft Palate-Craniofacial Team at the University of Oklahoma.
Dr. Power has served in various positions for the American Association of Orthodontists and is a past president of the Southwestern Society of Orthodontists. For many years, he has served as a delegate for the SWSO to the AAO House of Delegates.
Having always been passionate about music Dr. Power graduated from the University of Tulsa with a Bachelor of Music in saxophone performance. In his spare time Dr. Power enjoys Scouting, cycling, landscaping, motor sports and spending time with his wife, Nicole, and his two children, Samantha and Ben. Dr. Power and his family are members of Church of the Servant in Oklahoma City, where he is a key leader in the Scouts BSA program. As an Eagle Scout, Dr. Power is a passionate supporter of the Scouting program as he serves at the District and Council level to help make a better program for every youth involved in our community.

What is your philosophy on how oral health relates to overall body health?
JP: Oral health relates to overall body health in many ways. There are links to heart health and certainly good oral health promotes health teeth that are needed for appropriate nutrition. Healthy, beautiful smiles contribute to healthy self-esteem which is extremely important.
What personal goals do you have for you or your family?
Personal goals include instilling in my kids the values of duty to God and country, healthy living, and helping others. I strive to set an example of servant leadership in anything and everything that I do. I believe these are the values that make the difference in the world around us.
Social media. Are you on it, do you like it, what are your feelings on Instagram and Facebook?
I’m on it and I like it. I probably like Instagram a little better than Facebook. Both require self-control regarding time spent on them and what is shared. Most of what I post is for me to help me document memories and the things that make me happy.

DR. GEOFF SPARKS
Dr. Geoff Sparks is passionate about working with children and helping them grow into healthy, confident adults. He has extensively researched techniques to avoid permanent teeth extractions in growing children and has a special interest in the effects of orthodontic treatment on an individual’s overall facial aesthetics.
He serves as Clinical Associate Professor Sparks at the University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry and is a member of a local dental study club, which is comprised various Orthodontists in different dental fields to discuss treatment planning and difficult cases.
Born and raised in Oklahoma City and a graduate of Putnam City North High School, Dr. Geoff Sparks earned his Bachelors of Science, Doctorate of Dental Surgery and specialty training in orthodontics at the University of Oklahoma.
He is married to his high school sweetheart Brandi, who is a dental hygienist. They enjoy golfing, fishing, traveling and spending time with their two children Jovie and Kingston. Dr. Geoff Sparks and his family are active members of St. Monica’s Catholic Church.

Travel! I am a firm believer in embracing experiences more than things. I enjoy working out, listening to music, playing any sport and being outside. At the end of the day, I just try to spend as much time with my family as possible.

Coffee and lots of it. Fries (but only the thin kind) and hamburgers! Absolute favorite guilty-pleasure meal would have to be Indian food.

Beef Jerky, but I would prefer Doritos!

DR. RYAN THEOBALD
Dr. Ryan Theobald was born and raised in Midwest City, Oklahoma. He attended the University of Oklahoma’s College of Dentistry and graduated at the top of his class in 2011. He practiced general dentistry in Oklahoma for two years prior to earning his orthodontic degree from the University of Colorado.
Dr. Theobald joined Orthodontics Associates in 2016. In addition to serving the patients and the practice, Dr. Theobald sits on the boards for the Oklahoma County Dental Society and the Oklahoma Orthodontic Society, as well as teaches the pre-Orthodontistal students at the Oklahoma College of Dentistry.
As the newest Orthodontist to join the Orthodontic Associates family, Dr. Theobald, his wife Jackie and their children love to live, play and serve their community in their home state of Oklahoma.

RT: I certainly do! She was the sweetest girl named Emily. Good thing it doesn’t take me an hour and a half to put on braces anymore!

With young twins at home, life is a myriad of diaper changes, feedings, children’s books, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse…it’s hectic, crazy and fantastic all at the same time.

Then I try to get Jackie and the babies off to a good start by making coffee for Jackie, making us breakfast and getting the bottles for the babies. I catch a little news during breakfast and then its time to clean up the dishes and head out to the office.
