What is your philosophy on how oral health relates to overall body health?
GS: There is a lot of research that shows how your oral health affects your overall body health, and that is an important part of what we do each day. But where I see some of the greatest rewards to our patients is how their smile makes them feel about themselves. The greatest health benefit I see is the increased confidence and personal growth within themselves.
What do you like to do in your free time?
Travel! I am a firm believer in embracing experiences more than things. I enjoy working out, listening to music, playing any sport and being outside. At the end of the day, I just try to spend as much time with my family as possible.
Favorite snacks, treats, and guilty-pleasure meal?
Coffee and lots of it. Fries (but only the thin kind) and hamburgers! Absolute favorite guilty-pleasure meal would have to be Indian food.
Harry Potter or Hunger Games?
Harry Potter. I am amazed by the creativity, magic and wonder the books manifest.
What do you keep stashed in your top desk drawer?
Beef Jerky, but I would prefer Doritos!
